Centering - again

My desk with pc sits in the dining room, facing the east windows. I can look outside and see virtually nothing of the neighbors through the shrubs and flowers. Right now, I'm watching "our" cats - a feral mama and her kitten. She's kind of a ginger/brown mottled color, and tiny - I thought she was a kitten herself the first time I saw her
Her kitten is black with white chest and paws. They come out each morning and settle in the little round garden under the tree; Mama washes and lazes around while Baby plays with everything - including Mama!
He (or maybe she) wrestles with Mama's tail, while Mama just looks back occasionally, as if to say, "Not so rough, kiddo!" Just now Baby crouched down, wiggling the little backside, then leaped on Mama's head.
It's the little things like this that I love. When RL (and internet life) get too depressing, too stressful, just too everything - watching a kitten play with its mama reminds me of what's really important - this moment, and this moment only.

I enjoyed reading that. It was heart-warming and touching and funny.
![]() I also love the little things too. ![]() My cats chose this morning to try to help me type on my computer and one started to hunt my computer mouse. ![]() |
