Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hello everyone! How is everyone doing? I've been so busy....my daughter went to camp, went and took my driver's learner's test and past...been cleaning in the basement and getting ready for holidays!
We also had some computer problems, but, I am glad to be able to catch up a bit at DBC.
Hope everyone is having a nice summer, staying cool in some places will be hard this year!
Have a great day!, Hugs, Sharon!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hey, hope you're all okay and maybe even happily enjoying your holidays. Mine will be later, in September. It would be nice to be on holiday now though, because it has been so hot here for weeks. I don't know about you folks, but we people from Northern Germany are difinitely not used to temperatures of 35°C during the day and 20°C at night for weeks. Most of our houses are not air conditioned, so the rooms are uncomfortably warm and it is difficult to sleep. A sunny summer is certainly nice, but this is just a little too much, for the people as well as for their pets.
So, it is much too warm here to get anything important done. Thankfully our office at work has air condition, which is almost tempting enough to do overtime, but only almost The Soccer World Cup is over, congrats to Spain! We had a great time and a good excuse to watch TV for hours and hours
Was there something else? Hmmmm... No, not really, not here anyway. Things are going smooth and I'm glad about it, don't need any catastrophes right now.
Sharon, congrats to you for passing your driver's learner's test, that's great! Sounds like it is warm at your end as well, so the basement doesn't sound bad as a location for doing some cleaning We don't have one, so that's no option here
Right, have a good time everyone! I've got to rush, get some dinner on table (although it is too hot to feel really hungry).
Big hug from Germany!

Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is well where you are.
Been a very busy last couple of months and those "lazy hazy crazy days of summer" are here. Don't get holidays this year ( not til next summer ).
My son off to University in the fall so very busy getting him sorted.
It's hot and the mosquitoes are out in full force
Ah well in a couple months I'll be complaining how cold it is LOL.
Have fun everyone and stay cool

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Good to hear that you found a job again, congrats Sharon! Yes, everyone seems so busy these days, but I guess that's just life. Same here, a week is gone so quickly and I can't believe that it's end of August already
Although, right now it looks more like November at my place. We had so much rain since yesterday morning that many places in Northern Germany are flooded. Not from rivers, only from the amount of rain, which the sewer system couldn't handle. Something like that hasn't happened in decades here, if ever. We've had grey skies and showers for the past three weeks now and even though it wasn't cold, it was unpleasant. But the current situation tops everything. Thank God that our house is still dry...
Oh, and re. 'ready to go back to routine' - no way! Actually I'm more than ready for my holidays, which will start in three weeks and with the best thing imaginable: seeing Dirk at a convention. It will be hard for the holidays to become even better after that
Take care everyone!
