LEGEND SOCCER COMPANY
Do you like soccer (or, as the rest of the world calls it, football)? Dirk does in a big way, and it has become a family affair.

Dirk's son Roland and 2 friends have started Legend Soccer Company,  developing innovative, sustainable soccer gear (and only soccer gear). Learn about Legend Soccer Company at the link above. Dirk not only endorses Legend Soccer, he's involved with it - "and not only because Roland is my son."

Hi Caroline! Welcome!
We are all very casual here!
we talk about Dirk, but we also talk about holidays, world events and we support each other if times are good, bad or just day to day frustrations.
I hope you will enjoy the conversation and join in.
we would like to get to know you, too!
I live in Canada, Edmonton, Alberta....I have many friends here. It's a little slower during the summer, however, it's a lot of fun and very interresting during the fall and winter.
Many of us have children...do you?
Anyway, hope you can talk soon!
Hugs to all!

Hello and welcome from Germany, too. It's lovely to see someone here from Driffield, that's just around the corner from where my hubby comes from. Personally I have been very quiet lately, was too busy with RL, but this is a great place to hang out, with wonderful people and the best main topic imaginable. I hope you will have fun here!

Hi Caroline
Lovely to read of a new member here. I hope you enjoy it.
As well as the threads, there is any area to blog and a Private Message facility too. Not only that, but your can add a bit more to your personal page too - we often put our fav pics of Dirk on there!
We also have a thread that's turned into a 'What am I up to at the moment' thread, where we can catch up with each other. Please peruse and add if you like!

It's a lovely place here, and we are really lucky to have such a site for free - thanks Tracy!
All the best Caroline - I take it you're a Westlife fan too? I'm afraid I'm showing my age by saying I'm more of an Abba and Beatles fan!

Afraid you're not, sorry Crazy Tommny T doesn't post much these days, but he's still around. And I don't even want to mention our admins Dawg and Warrior...

But of course you're very welcome and be sure, the few guys here are treated very well by us girls

Welcome Mr.X!
You will find that you are not the only gentleman here.
You will also find some interresting conversation, especially when summer is over and more people are back to the site.
Take care.

Welcome to one of the more testosterone-challenged websites on the internet, Mr. X! There are a few of us here of the male persuasion, so I'm glad to see another to bolster our numbers.

Welcome to you, too, Caroline! Any fan of Dirk's is a fan of... I mean, you're in good company here.

Tell me, have either of you read either of Dirk's books? I'm going to be re-reading Confessions again.

And I'm not sure I'm enthusiastic about the A-Team movie. I'm absolutely horrified by some of the remakes coming out of Hollywood right now. Folks around here will tell you I'm a dyed-in-the-wool BSG fan and I'm disgusted by what they did to the franchise, so I'm not at all sure I want to see what they're going to do with The A-Team. We'll see, though.

I am
Dawg

Welcome Caroline and Mr. X
Glad to have you aboard.

I'll be skipping the whole A-Team reboot, remake, regurgitate, whatever.
It was what it was in it's day and I think should stay there as a happy memory

I have to admit when Dirk mentioned his name on Sunday I had no idea who he was talking about.
But I have to agree with the statement he followed with - why oh why does hollywood keep rehashing stuff. leave the classics alone. They worked because of what they were at the time and who they starred. Remaking them just kills the memories.

To everyone thanks for the welcome wishes..

Its good to see that there are other dudes on the site plus being surrounded by lovely ladies is never a bad thing.

I will be supporting the new A-team movie.. I love the original show but for me this will just be another chapter in the A-team history ..good or bad this new movie wont change the fans appreciation for the original guys.

Hey everyone!

Just joined because I had the pleasure of meeting Dirk at Supanova in Perth, Western Australia weekend before last! I've been a BSG-TOS fan since teenhood (yes, I'm a bit of an 'oldie' ) and Dirk/Starbuck was my favourite! I had an awesome discussion with Dirk while I was getting my photo taken with him about (of all things) kangaroos! Plus the fact that we Aussies are probably the only nation that eats our national emblems!

Anyway, I thought last week I saw a topic about Dirk's visit to Perth, but I can't seem to find it at the moment... but as soon as I do, I'll put in my observations and a few pics as well!
