Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Sharon, that's good to hear! (Although over here, the tulips are long gone, even the lilacs have already lost their blossom - mainly because of a severe thunderstorm last Monday - but the rose bushes are full with buds!) Business is going well, actually. Since I'm also taking some courses alongside, there is not much time left for anything else , but that, of course, is my own fault. Sorry about you mother, Alzheimer's is just terrible (one of my uncles and an aquaintance also suffer from it). Ithink it's a very cruel disease, not only for the person having it but also for their spouses and children.
Deebee, not a soccer fan, I presume? I used to be quite a fan some 20 odd years ago, but at one time I just got fed up with all the (male) drama on and off the fields. Took way too much of my time so I just stopped watching. Enjoy your time at the gym!
Take care all! For those who love European soccer: enjoy!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hello to DBC friends!!
Sorry so much for a long days without write here...Many changes in my life lately..Some bad and another good...My father is ill...Now I'm sad and I'll explain another day about it...I hope all be finishing well. Some days in the hospital but now is at home.
The good new is that I changed of job. I'm in a school now until final of the time school before Summer and maybe too in September..I don't know still. I'm so happy there and I decided to change then a phone call because it's a complet work time (7 hours every day), a new experience for me and a better payment. All is important. Now is the worse time of the year in all the schools, you know, but no problem. I'm so tired but I like it.
Deebee, yes!! Barça won Champions League! Wow, we didn't hope this...Manchester is ever a very good team and it was always the winner but this time Barça won. Here the steets that night were a big party. The team won too the Spanish League. Incredible this year. Thanks for your support to it.
I hope all be well and in health. I hope to have a break between too much work and write a little more.
Sharon, hugs for your mother and take care for catarats surgery.
Asmay, Lucia, Anne, Ostarella how are you?
I imagine is a busy time for everybody..I miss many people here.
From my heart, kisses to all.
Esther.

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi Esther!
Glad to hear that some things have turned around for you!
I really hope that your father's health will improve and that he will be comfortable while at home! Sending good wishes for him!
Thanks for the hugs for my mother...she really is not well these days. The Alzheimer's disease is progressing in a strange way, and she is beginning to wander a lot.
She will be placed in a secure seniors centre soon...thank goodness!
I hope everyone has a great weekend...we will be busy with a ball hockey tournament for my son!
Bye for now, Hugs to all!
Sharon

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi Everyone!
We had a great time this weekend at my son's street hockey tournament!
It was a record breaking tournament with over 2000 players and 352 teams in total playing.
They had some good effort and they had some fun!
It was a long day...we were there before 8 am and he had 3 games for the day!
I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe and healthy!
I know everyone is busy, especially with the nice weather in some parts of the world.
Have a great day, all!
Sharon

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
HI EVERYONE
I've been very busy these days.
Last weekend I met my cousin's son who's been in Canada for the past five months.
He stopped to visit my brother and sister in law before he left to go back to Germany.
He's training to get his phd in computers.
I'm hoping to go to Germany next year. I have a lot of relatives over there.
I've been considering moving there.
But, I love Canada and it's my home.
So how it's goin' eh?
Hope everyone is fine and your loved and pets.
HUGS

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi everyone! How are you all doing.
It has been very warm here these past few days....almost 30 degrees celcius!
My mom had her first cataract surgery last Friday...went really well...this Friday, the second one.
She will be coming to my house...we also have a birthday party and it is Father`s day here on Sunday!
Busy is definitely the word around here!
I hope you are enjoying the weather where ever you live.
Take care and hope to catch up with everyone soon!
Hugs, Sharon

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Well, summer is officially here. Tonight a major tornado hit Austin, about 35 miles from here. No power in the entire city, cell phones wouldn't work, trees and buildings down (one guy was injured when a barn fell on him ). Here, 3-4 separate storm cells converged over the town about an hour ago - major rain, wind, thunder and lightning, but thank God no tornadoes. Now they're saying similarly strong storms are likely over the next couple of days. Have my emergency kit all ready to go - if only I could train the dogs to head to the basement when the sirens go off instead of running under the bed!
Life in Minnesota - either freeze to death or get blown away...

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Ostarella, I'm glad that you are so prepared! Let's hope that you don't have to use it very often or at all!
We are finally getting some much needed rain...and it's a soft rain, but steady!
I hope you have a great weekend!
Having a very busy day, groceries, dentist, etc.
Hugs to you and everyone here at DBC!

This is a cabbage rose (rosa centafolia) - and it's well over 40 years old. It was one of the first rose bushes my dad planted eons ago (at one time my dad had almost 50 different rose bushes - we have 11 of them still growing, including this one). We have three of the cabbage roses left (the other two almost as old), but most of the rest of the roses are hybrid tea, and my brother has added another dozen new ones over the last couple years.

I hope Father's Day was a success!
We had birthdays, doctor's appointments, and Father's Day all in the same weekend, very busy!
It is sunny, but very windy here today. Tomorrow is to be beautiful and warm!
Everyone have a great day!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hello to all, my DBC friends!
Sorry again for my few post in the last weeks. How are you all? I hope well.
Sharon, thanks for your words. My father is doing...We're hoping for a visit to the doctor de next week.
Thanks too to all for these beautiful pictures. I see you're in a hot weather too!! Here is horrible these days..About 35 C degrees and many humidity. This is the Summer here..I prefer the Summer, not the Winter, but an extreme degrees aren't good. About 28,29, 30..was good!
Hey, I see, life is busy for everyone but this is good, so means the weather is warm and the days are longer.
Kisses to all, who can to put posts and who not... I hope everybody be well.
I promise write more the next days. More work now..
Esther.

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi everyone!
Yesterday, July 1st, was canada's 142 birthday!
We celebrated with doing kids events, watching dog shows, shopping at a farmer's market, etc.
This all takes place in a few different communities throughout the city, and each province has their own special things they do.
On Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario...the capital of the country...they have a hugs stage and many artists from around the country come and entertain the city.
I grew up there, so I know what fun it is.
We all have fireworks around 11 pm to finish off the evening, but we sing O'Canada first.
It was nice weather and the fireworks were great!
Hope everyone is doing well, take care all..talk to you soon! Hugs!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hello my friends. Yes, I'm still around, but have been much too quiet this year Too busy with RL, sorry. Things haven't changed for me health-wise, the vertigo is still there, although I have even been in a clinicfor six weeks lately I really don't know what more I can do. Now I'm ill, have lost my job and money's running out - but other than that I'm fine. Aw, gotta stay positive. Maybe life is trying to tell me that I need a change. Now, if I could only think of something useful to do (and earn money with), which I can do despite my vertigo. Sigh.
Esther, are things looking better with your job now? I'm not really up to date here, but I hope that your situation has improved!
Geez, it took me too long to write my posts here, have to go now, appointment at the job agency. I still can't work, but if I'm lucky I might get money for another three months. Gotta try.
So, take care all of you - and I promise I'll try to post more often now.
Have a great day!

I'm sorry to hear about your situation! I really hope that you get something to keep you going. I will say a prayer for you and hope that in this time of confusion and worry, that there is a light at the end of your ordeal.
Please know that I am thinking of you!
Good Luck, hugs to you!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
I hope Summer hasn't gone for good - had 2 weeks of hot weather - everyone walking around in shorts & flip-flops/sandals - now back to rain and I'm wearing my Autumn/winter woollen trousers!
I've been v busy, so apologies for not posting my usual 'health' posts lately! I'll try to catch up in a few weeks time.
Flash - great to see you back, sorry the treatment hasn't worked ... yet!
Ester - good luck job hunting!
Lucia Helena - big hug to our friendly Brazilian friend!
Love and regards to everyone else.
Peace!

Hi everyone! How is everyone doing?
We just got back from a few days of R & R...we had a great time....mini golf, go-karts...westerner days (fair) lunch with family and we went to see Harry Potter!
The lake was great...the kids had a great time...my husband and daughter went to the wild rapid water slides...they had a blast...it was good a time for all of us1
Went to the mountains for lunch...had a picnic and then drove all the way home, lol
Will post some pictures when we get them on the computer.
Take care, Hugs to all!
