Dirk has a flip phone. You can see it in some of the YouTube videos that have been posted.
I think he knows enough about technology to use it. I just don't think he wants to. Nature can be more enjoyable if you actually be part of it instead of having your head buried in a phone or tablet. I know that I am pretty connected, but do look forward to days without ever picking up an electronic device or connecting to the internet. Those are usually very peaceful days.
