Just a lil story I wanna share...
Hi folks,
I just have to share this cuz this is too good to keep it just for myself.
Recently I began my new job (same company, new department). At my old job I had 2 other colleagues in my team who were nice and all but rather quiet. Not much socializing happened.
In my new team there are 6 folks and I am the only woman. Not that I mind that, I am used to crude talk as I grew up in a household dominated by male and boys stuff. Anywho…
So one day I just did my work when my colleague to my left suddenly clapped his hands and yelled "I love it when a plan comes together!". I just had to grin, but didn't think too much about it. Couple days later another colleague at another desk suddenly started to hum the A-Team tune to motivate himself to work faster. Coincidence? -- When just a few more days later my colleague on the backside of my desk also yelled "I love it when a plan comes together" I was certain I landed in a team full of A-Team fans.
Of course I told them I am a fan, too. And what ensued was a vivid conversation about the great old times and what a great show it is.
You can tell that I am very happy in my new team.
Oh and my team does A-Team quotes alllllll the time. It's just their thing as I found out. Sometimes what belongs together comes together.

Haha, actually yes if you are an IT specialist!
I'm honestly considering bringing my A-team funko pops to work and decorate my desk with them. But I fear they might be gone sooner than I can blink.

Melli, I keep meaning to share pics of my A-Team Funko pops on my desk with you.
I keep forgetting. But YES, you should definitely do this. I'm sure you're coworkers would appreciate it.

Re: Just a lil story I wanna share...
That's so awesome! Something similar happened to me too at work when I first started my position which is A-Team related:
I was photoshopping a meme with Reg Barclay in it (One of Schultz' characters on Star Trek) and my boss wandered in to ask me something. He then stares at the screen for like 25 seconds, gives me a funny look and says, "Why in the hell are you photoshopping Howlin' Mad Murdock's face into a bowl of broccoli and cheese?" (Don't ask)
Me: "Who?"
My other coworker sticks his head in my office door and is like, "Are we talking about the A-Team?" Then a THIRD coworker shouts a BA quote from HIS office and I'm all like what is even happening right now. Oh yeah, and I'm also the only chick on the team.
Thus began my decent into complete A-Team madness - and on top of already being a devoted Trekkie and that's really saying something.
PS: I have all my Funko Pops next to my Enterprise models at work, LOL!

Re: Just a lil story I wanna share...
Oh man, don't get me started on Star Trek. I'm a die hard nerd into everything sci fi (which inevitably led me to Dirk very early in my life). I squealed when I saw Dwight for the first time as the wonderful scatterbrained Reg. I wish he had been a regular in any of the shows.
However, I could never imagine Dirk in anything Trek and I'm glad he didn't. I always hoped to see him in Stargate tho… yaknow… military background and all. Unfortunately that never happened either. *le sigh*

I am so happy for you gals. We all love it when a plan comes together.

Barclay was a semi-regular character in Voyager, fwiw. He had a total of 5 episodes in TNG and 4-5 in VOY (I think). I think Dwight was also in one episode of Stargate. I wish Dirk was in Stargate.

Re: Just a lil story I wanna share...
WOW!
Just minutes ago I was checking a website that brought a grin to my face:
"In 2009 a crack digital coding unit was sent to Belgium for developing highly necessary solutions. These men promptly created the Ecerium Elements microservices from a maximum security location at the Corda Campus in Hasselt, Belgium. Today, still wanted by a lot of companies, they survive as developers of fortune. If you have a digital problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire, the E-team!"
