Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Su, so sorry for your loss...My deepest symphaties and a big hug for you and for your family, from my heart.
Like friends are saying here, I'm here too for all that you want. Words are nothing in front off these "bad things in the life" but we're here, you know.
You're in my prayers.
Good Bless.
Esther.

Oh Su, I'm so sorry for you and your family! Can imagine the shock and grief you must have suffered ... (I know, I've been there too.)
Take your time. You'll need to find your balance again and that might take a while ...
Be thinking of you.

Su, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I know there is nothing but time to ease the pain (I've been there, too). May the thoughts and prayers of all of us here on DBC give you strength in this hard time and something to hold on to.
My thoughts are with you and your family.

Heat wave today!!!! Supposed to get up to almost 30F, and almost no wind chill - so guess what I'll be doing? Shoveling! Cleaning up all the sidewalks that have unfortunately been neglected the last couple of weeks. Knee nearly back to new, so this will give it some good exercise.

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Was talking to my son on the phone a few minutes ago when they had an earthquake. It sounded like he'd fallen against a cabinet full of glasses. He said it was different than usual; normally it's just like being in a parked car when someone bumps into it - this was a sudden hard jolt. He looked on some tracking site and discovered the epicenter was just over a mile from his apartment. Registered 3.4
Now I'm back to trying to convince him to move back to the Midwest...

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Su, you're welcome! And just take your time. Can imagine you have other things on your mind at the moment. We'll be here any time you want.
Ostarella, that sounds very scary .... Can imagine you would like your son to move back, although ... is there any chance he'll trade the Californian sun for the snowy winters of the Midwest? Btw good to hear you're back on both feet again and the knee getting back to normal!
Anne, what a sweet response of Richard Hatch! Lucia is right, you have an impressive friend there! I'll bet there still are quite some fans of Richard out there and that he 's being too modest about that.
Lucia, enjoy your summer holiday! Hope you have a nice time!

Hello to all, friends.
Su, I'm thinking very much with you these days...I know they're a very bad moments and first are you and your family. We're here, you know. A big big hug for you and take care, please. You're in my main.
Anne, wow, you're so sweet sharing with us Richard's message! You've incredibles friends and I'm sure he's, like Dirk, a sweet person. Thanks so much!
Ostarella, ugghh, what an earthquake!!! Perhaps you make well to say your son about to come to the Midwest where you are, although we know sons finally do that we want (I speak for me, too ). You know where I live it's not land of big earthquakes but if a few of them during the year. I've lived only two, in the 10 floor when I live and it was like a board sailing..a movement with oscilation..a strange sensation..But it was only 3 in the Ritcher's leader (sorry, if not if it's thus).
Julieeee, HAPPY BIRTDHAY to you!!! Hello from me, too. I hope you had a great day!
Adriii, how are you? Thousand thanks for to say us about Sara's birthday!!
How is going all?? I've my actual job but in a few weeks they say me..."bye, bye"...Well, it's the life...Things are going very bad with jobs in many countries, and I will have many difficult to find another...But life follow..
I don't found a post about Sara birthday but I'm going to put one.
Sara, my sweet friend, I wish a BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAY but, in special, you're better. You deserve the best of this world. Complimenti!
Asmay, Ostarella, Karin, Lucia (happy Summer holidays for you!), Shasta, Petra, Deebee, Tracy, Dirk and everyone, have a nice tomorrow-night.
Many kisses for all.
Esther.

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Happy Monday Everyone!
We had a really nice weekend. The weather was cold, but it will gradually warm up this week and we will get snow.
My mother's surprise birthday party went well. We all snuck in and set up the party room with flowers, food, presents and people.
We took pictures and had a lot of family fun! It will probably be the last birthday we can do that for her, as the alzheimers is getting worse.
She was happy and that's what matters.
We also went to my in-laws and saw the other side of the family...we had a good time there, too! Busy!
But, back to work. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and that all stayed safe!
Take care and hugs to all!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Sharon, nice to hear your mother had a happy time on her birthday. You're right, you just have to cherish these precious moments ... (Alzheimer's is a very sad disease. )
Esther, how are you? Hope you got through last week's storms in your area! It was all over the news here, dreadful!
At the moment the weather here is nice, sunny and cold, planning to go on a long walk this afternoon. Take care all!

Sunny Tuesday
HI EVERYONE
I'm enjoying a bright and sunny Tuesday.
Changed my avatar. Again. LOL
This is one of my favourite photos of Dirk as Starbuck and Richard as Apollo.
Hope everyone is doing fine, and those under the weather or having problems, may your situation improve and quickly.

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Well, another winter reality - the city takes every opportunity to "tidy up" the streets. Which means a four foot high, five foot wide bank of packed snow and ice chunks at the end of my sidewalk. Thank you, Mr Snowplow.
So far I've gotten about a third of the way through it - not bad for an hour's work with a little electric shovel (and pickaxe ) I'll probably finish it up about the time they decide to do another sweep... But then tomorrow I'll have an excuse to lay on the couch with my knee up on pillows. Another Dirky movie day!
Lucia! Get the spare bedroom ready...
