Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi all,
Sorry but Int. Women's Day seems to have passed me by unnoticed ... Have been so occupied with other stuff and things, that I feel like it must be April already. But, looking at the calendar, nope ... still March. Weather here is quite normal for this time of year, a bit of rain, wind, storm, sun and overnight frost in various combinations. When reading the posts of some of you telling us about still a lot of snow and deepfreeze temps. I feel very fortunate to live in a warmer area (about 9 degrees C at the moment). So sorry for you, girls!
Whatever the weather enjoy your weekend!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi everyone and wishing peace to you all!
Sharon - brrr! That's awfully cold for this time of year. I hope you are enjoying being at home. Sorry to hear about the short-sightedness of your store. Personally, if I was you I'd write a letter to the head office to explain why you felt you had to resign. Not in an angry mood or trying to get compensation from them, but in a matter of fact way, so they are aware of what your store manager is like, in case it happens again? On a separate note, big hug to you about your Dad. We have Mother's Day next Sunday and I'm looking forward to seeing my mum after a month away and giving her a big hug - very babyish of me!
Anne - congrats on the new job - hope all goes well - I'd feel a bit agoraphobic going back to an outside job after a long time, so hope you don't have any last minute nerves.
Big wave to everyone else - I'm definitely popping in to catch up on posts, but just am v busy so not able to post much at the moment.
It's been quite warm and sunny (bit wet) and all the spring crocuses and daffodils are coming out, yay!
xx

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
What a cute picture Lucia!
How is everyone? I am good!
The weather has been decent and there was some melting and a chance for the kids to actually go out and enjoy the snow.
We had a nice family get together yesterday with my husbands side of the family! All 6 of the cousins got to be together for the first time in a long time.
I hope everyone had a safe and happy weekend. I know it is time for us to get ready for the week ahead again.
Hugs and happyiness I send to all!
Sharon

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
I think spring is definitely here! Today saw robins all over, so have visual verification that I wasn't hearing things last week The next couple of days it's supposed to be in the upper 60s! So tomorrow I start raking out the gardens... that's good - I think.

Both of my Grandmothers have Irish in them, so we decorated yesterday! It is snowy here and -13 right now...I haven't seen any robins yet, but they say Friday should be a nice day and that is the first day of Spring here!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi everyone, from a glorious sunny Sunday in Spring!
The weather is lovely at the moment (already wearing a short sleeve shirt and have been pottering in the garden without a coat) - about 10-14 C -but that will only be for today: tomorrow will be a cold and more autumnlike day with rain and wind.
Anne, a belated congrats on the new job!
Esther, how are you? Any progress on the jobfront at your end? Hope you'll be able to find something nice soon!
Sharon, are you enjoying your time at home? Or are there any work vibes itching already?
Sorry I've not been around much lately. Been quite occupied with all official and other stuff which has to be taken care of before you can properly start working on your own. Gosh, the getting everything in order is almost a day job (in the beginning at least). But I'm getting there...
Enjoy!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Good Morning to all!
We have a winter storm warning in our area, again! 4-5 cm of snow and high winds...thank goodness it is not -30!
I am enjoying my time at home! I have been busy around the house with washing walls and curtains, etc. and baking.
I have been peeking around for job possibilities, however, our spring break for the schools starts in 1 week, so I should hold off on anything seroius until after that.
I hope everyone has a great day!
Hugs to all

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi everyone!
It's been a few days, but I have been busy!
Catching up around the house is a big job and the crazy weather is not helping.
I'm itching to get out into the backyard to start cleaning, alas, Mother Nature says"Not yet!", lol!
I hope everyone is doing ok.
Thanks Esther, I am still enjoying my time at home...I haven't cooked or bakes like this in months and it is relaxing.
Everyone have a great day!
Hugs to all!

Enjoying the Spring weather
HI EVERYONE
Enjoying Spring. Been taking it easy until my new job starts.
I forgot to post here!
My cats were really racing around my house this morning. Those little devils.
I've got a new kitchen floor and they have taken to running really fast and then sliding up and down the floor.
Hope everyone is doing fine and your loved ones and pets.

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi, I know what yu mean about the cats. Mine are constantly running through the house and pushing up the area rugs! I think they have Spring fever, haha!
They want to re-arrange the house, just like me.
At least it is sunny, but, more snow starting tomorrow.....when will it end!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Hi all!
At the moment the weather is as unpredictable as can be in March: storm, rain, hail, snow, thunder and spells of sunshine in various combinations throughout the day. But for next week the predictions sound promising (*keeping fingers crossed*)...
Esther, a job, good for you! And even if it's only till June: who knows what opportunities there will come, since the summer/holiday season is about to start then? And you're right, working for yourself is a lot of work . That's also the reason why I have been absent from the board so much lately. But there are only so many hours in a day .... I'm afraid I don't have much choice there. Business, however, is going nicely, about to land my second customer, so I'm quite content!
Tonight we (Europeans) will be switching over to 'Summertime', or daylight saving time, so if the weather would start to be more like Spring or Summer now, I would be very happy. Have a nice weekend!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
Great picture Lucia!
That's how we here in Canada feel during our long winter, lol!
How is everyone?
I am good!
Last night we participated in Earth Hour. We turned off all the lights and unplugged anything that was non-essential and we played a board game for that hour.
It was nice family time!
We played a game called "Wide World" and you have to travel to 5 destinations.
We changed the rules a bit and when you get to your destination, you have to tell informatiion about that country.
The kids were enjoying it and we were enjoying them!
I hope everyone has a great day!
Take care and hugs to all!

Re: Where would U go this Summer Holiday...and WHY?
It's official - British Summertime has begun (well the clocks have gone forward!).
Sun, wind, rain, all in the same day, and changing in between each every few hours - certainly a bit confusing!
Heard Minnesota as well as N Dakota have been hit by bad weather recently. Hope all members and your families are OK!
