LEGEND SOCCER COMPANY
Do you like soccer (or, as the rest of the world calls it, football)? Dirk does in a big way, and it has become a family affair.

Dirk's son Roland and 2 friends have started Legend Soccer Company,  developing innovative, sustainable soccer gear (and only soccer gear). Learn about Legend Soccer Company at the link above. Dirk not only endorses Legend Soccer, he's involved with it - "and not only because Roland is my son."

Default Mark of the Devil

Did anyone else's DVR's record Mark of the Devil this week? I watched it last night. As usual Dirk was looking great! But it was definately another strange movie.

Oooh, is that the one where Dirk sports are chin beard!

With all the satellite channels we have in the UK I can't believe it hasn't been on here for awhile! Unfortunately all we seem to have of Dirk is TAT, BSG, Earthstorm or Abduction of Innocence for the last couple of years!

Not anymore, I think. Mark of the devil is an episode of Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense, and the DVD collection of that series disappeared from amazon's catalogue last year. But you can find it on ebay occasionally, although for quite a price.

No, it's not, I guess what you're thinking of is Demon Keeper (worst item of the Dirk collection in my opinion!). Mark of the Devil is the one where he's tattooed all over in the end. I like that one, not enough horror to scare me away, just a little on the supernatural side.
Remember the funny 'BB story' Red Eye (I think it was her anyway) put on DBO and DS? The pics she used were from Mark of the Devil.

Oh Right!
I tried to rent that from my local video store - it is a set of 3 DVDs, but when it arrived, only the first DVD was in it! And of course Dirk's story was on the 2nd or 3rd one! I tried to explain that to the store, but they weren't interested! Needless to say, I've not bothered using them again!

The CBB story was by Rondelle. I think there is a thread for it on the CBB sub-board here, but I'm too lazy to find it there, and I've already book-marked the original.

It's so fantastic - I love it! Well done to Rondelle!

edit - and lovely Dirk photos too - loving the 'naked tai chi'!

Oh yeah, it was Rondelle Thanks for the link, I've bookmarked it immediately (which I should have done back then!). The story is so hilarious, she did a great job there!

Your local video store is really one of a kind! I thought it was in the interest of business people to have satisfied customers Obviously they think they don't

This was on TV the other night and I DVR'd it. Reactions:

- The opening scene is just weird, and sort of made me want to shut it off. It gets a lot better, though. The appearance of Dirk will do that for a movie.
- Very jealous of the leading lady. So very jealous.
- The tough guy bookie has a great voice for the role. Helloooo Frankie!
- That house with the indoor pool in the middle is amazing. I want to see the floor plan. Ultimate party house!
- Costuming in Dirk's final scene is superb.
- I can't help but wonder how long he spent in makeup...
- I don't think I fully understand the significance of the bird. Symbolism is often lost on me.

Overall, it's definitely a "B" movie but totally worth watching for fans.

I had that same feeling

Yes vile woman!

Agree

- Costuming in Dirk's final scene is superb.

More than I do, that's for sure

- I don't think I fully understand the significance of the bird. Symbolism is often lost on me.
That bird is the devil of holds his mark. When he killed that pawn shop owner (who was the keeper of the bird) the devil marked him. When he finally repented and died the bird died as well. I'm not sure if he's sin free now and will go to heaven or if he'll still go to hell.

Overall, it's definitely a "B" movie but totally worth watching for fans.

I have recorded it a while back myself too.
- My youngest watched the opening scene with me and got genuinely scared. I started to like it the moment I saw Dirk
- I know the feeling
- Oh yes. Great casting for that part.
- Nice house indeed
- Absolutely
- You know. I wanted to ask him that very question when we did the Q&A

I totally enjoyed watching it as a fan

I should have said "spoiler alert". Oops. Spoiler alert.

So wait, does his soul actually go in to the bird when he dies, and that's why the bird ends up flying into her window?

I think his soul went into the bird. Maybe it was a Voodoo ritual?

The movie is available on YouTube. I told hubby "here's a good movie to watch" and as soon as the credits came up he said "oh, of course" lol. But he admitted it was a pretty good movie!

Omg, Anne, I'm laughing so hard right now. Here's the conversation in my house:

"Honey, I DVR'd a movie I want us to watch."
"What is it?"
"It's an old, kind of obscure movie, but it sounds interesting..."
"I'm going to stop you right there. Is Dirk Benedict in it?"
"Um. Yeah."
"You've already made me watch it."
"No, I don't think we've seen this one!"
"Then it's got to be REALLY bad."
"What makes you think it's bad?"
"You remember the one you made me watch... the one with the snake?"
"...yeah."
"Yeah."
"Maybe... I'll just wait until you go out."
"Enjoy."

So yeah, you win the husband game. LOL

OMG I'm trying so hard not to laugh right now or he'll ask me what's up!

He watched all of the Chopper One episodes with me. I asked him to buy me the DVD set for my birthday, and he did Best birthday ever!

Does your husband have a clone in his early twenties, and if so, can I have his number?
