I'm back from Australia........(oh I wish) :wink: ......................

I've just got back from doing the annual "back to school" shopping......Fortunately, they didn't need alot :wink: It was just mainly stationery. I got off lightly this year :wink:

I had to laugh..........while we were shopping in our local town, we stopped to look at this "street entertainer" that everyone was crowding around...........it all looked very professional ( as we thought)..........he was about to walk the "tightrope".....until he produced this jumper and metal bucket and placed them on his head. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Of all the things he could of covered his eyes with, like a blindfold - a jumper and a bucket :?: :?: :?: This I had to see........with a little theatrical stumble in the middle of his performance....you'll be glad to hear, he eventually made it across in one piece and with the jumper and bucket still intact on his head :!: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi everyone!

I wasn't in Australia. :lol:
I was at my Aunt's house in Brampton. She and my Uncle don't have a computer. We went to a lot of antique shops in the area. I just love antiques. We had fresh grilled salmon for dinner and chocolate cake for dessert. Went to a used bookstore and I got some Starlog Magazines. I collect those. Got some about Battlestar Galactica the original series. I collect the older issues.
Looking forward to my boat trip. Gettin' ready for the cruise! :wink:

I'm starting a course at college in September........since leaving school I have worked in accounts part time for family businesses and have decided to have a change of career...........It's me time now........I'm going to do an NVQ 2 in Hairdressing It's something I've always had an interest in and I thought, you only live once, so I'm going for it :!: Fortunately, the course is for the "Mature Student" :wink: It should be a two year course, but this is an intensive course over one year :shock: What have I let myself in for...... :?: :?: I'm looking forward to the challenge :wink:

I think I'll have to try watching an A Team video while doing the ironing...............it'll make it more enjoyable.......watching our lovely Dirk xx

Mmmmmmmm lovely fresh fruit & veggies straight from those French farmers......There's nothing nicer - so fresh and tastes great :wink: We sometimes have a French market visit our local town about twice a year. They sell things like olives, bread, cheese, biscuits, salami all the usual stuff - it's so different to our markets over here :!: I'm so glad the weathers going to improve for you.......remember your bikini :wink:

You're right about the summers we've had in the last few years - Rain this year/ heat wave last year...........It's got to be down to Global Warming We don't get much snow here in the winter like we used to. We're lucky if we get any :!:
